Free Fridays
Every so often, I like to work for free. To throw open the door and say, just show up.
I first did this about ten years ago, when I experimented with telling all of my existing clients that I would not be accepting any payment for the coming month. It brought all kinds of unexpected goodness (new friends, job offers, invitations to conferences), but most of all it revealed for me the role that money had been playing in how I showed up to work.
In my ‘free’ month, I found that where previously I might have been nervous meeting a potential new client, that instead I just felt curious and easy and free. And I saw the difference between the clients it was worth working for (even if they couldn’t pay) and the clients it wasn’t worth working for (even if they paid the most).
If you book a session on a Free Friday, you’ll get a full session, but I won’t charge you anything. (Normal rate is £350.) At the moment, these sessions are intended for people I haven’t worked with before. If we have worked together before and you’d like to catch up - drop me a line anyway.
